According to the Mádi Kör regulations, Max is made of 100% Furmint of our low yield (0,3-0,5 kilogram per vine) no-soil, volcanic stoney plantations, of which all 8 hectares are registered organic farming. The grapes are harvested vineyard-selected, hand pressed with more than 100 years old renovated press, or for the small scale selections with pneumatic modern method. The wines are aged in local cooper made oak from the nearby Zemplén forests. This wine is a blend of the fruit of the Urágya’s and Király’s vineyards.
Max aims to show the easygoing elegance together with the presentation of the special world heritage terroir. The name also refers to the main Roman god, Jupiter Optimus Maximus.
We are using Max for our festival of the summer solstice every year, and for that and Club Members special editions are made.

About the 2018 vintage dr. Gabriella Mészáros dip WSET writes:
“Smooth, silky, lively yet aloof. Lots of fine acid, a touch of tannin. With its warmer tones, it adds serious value. It’s a real Mad and furmint experience at the same time.”
