The prestige wine of the estate from the top of the volcanic hill called Bed of the Lord, harvested from 80 years old hand-cultivated vines, which make it possible to show the real minerality.
Demetervin Úrágya is a representation of the terroir wines of the Tokaj region.
The furmint and hárslevelű – which are the noblest local varieties of Tokaj – grapes
were harvested from the top of the Úrágya Hill, exclusively from old vines,
which are cultivated the traditional way, by horse and hand. The wine was pressed with old press, fermented in barrel by natural yeasts, including the maleolactic fermentation, and was aged in the same 1-3 years old Hungarian oak barrels. The character of this fully dry, rich bodied wine is led by minerality. The complexity coming from the volcanic soil and the variety gives length and keeps the wine in balance between the high alcohol level and acidity. It can accompany all kinds of meals: salads, white meats, fish and lamb. It is
the best when served at 13 ºC after half an hour of breathing in a decanter.
